In the Gospel today, we see how Jesus sent His Apostles out two by two. In this spirit, members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul “go out two by two” to visit those who are poor and needy in their homes. It is there, in the family setting, that Vincentians listen, offer humble advice, and render assistance.
Ms. T is disabled and lives on a fixed income while undergoing dialysis and preparing for surgery. She requested a microwave to assist with her daily meal preparation. Members purchased and delivered one to her home, where her nephew accepted it on her behalf. This simple gesture significantly improved her independence and quality of life during a challenging time.
Know that the members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul bring your gift directly to the poor and suffering in our parish.
