In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus says, “Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy.”
Married nearly 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. D faced difficult challenges this year: open-heart surgery for her, job loss for him after decades of truck driving. As bills mounted and their electricity was at risk of being shut off, our ministry stepped in with financial assistance and resource referrals. Their story and perseverance remind us why community support matters.
